"Following the recommendation of a colleage and an unability to get an
appointment with our normal primary care physician, we went to ZoomCare
this weekend. If you are in Portland I highly recommend you check out
their services. In any case, their approach illustrated 10 ways that
innovators can change industries. I really hope my dentist, my
hairdresser, and other service businesses I frequent are reading
this......"

"I left my house at 1130 for an 1145 AM appointment, and I was home,
with my prescription, by 1 PM. The Dr. was extremely friendly, helpful,
kind and professional. I feel so much better now! Thank you! I will
tell EVERYONE about ZoomCare!"

"I'm in love: a clinic that is open on Saturdays! This is perfect since
99.9% of the time, I somehow become in need of a doctor visit on Friday
night. Thank you for weekend hours, convenient locations, and clean
modern facilities. A million times better than having to to the the ER
with something that isn't really an emergency!"

"They picked the correct name! This is a great concept. You book your
appointment online, same day, usually within 30 minutes. I'm serious!
They handle urgent care, general physicals, minor illnesses, and just
about anything else you might need to be seen for short notice. I
wasn't able to get into my regular Dr today, so I decided to try this.
I chose my appointment time online, and got a confirmation email. It
said to be there 5 minutes prior to the appointment time. This isn't
you grandmothers Dr office to be sure. It's sleek and industrial. No
waiting room with 20 chairs and a stack of magazines. Just 2 chairs,
and a big Mac computer for your enjoyment. That's all they need. All I
had to do was present my ID, and insurance card. You can also pay cash.
It's much cheaper than regular urgent care. I didn't have to fill out
any lengthy forms, nothing actually. The Dr came out the moment the
appt was due to start! We went in, she looked me over, and we were in
agreement that I had a sinus infection. She was very nice! They even
invite you to email them with any questions you might have after the
appt, and they will get right back to you. She faxed my prescription to
the pharmacy, and Zoom! I was done. I was back in my car 20 minutes
after I parked! Incredible. They're open 362 days a year!"

"I've now been to both locations and have many warm fuzzies for
ZoomCare. The first time, I was having some sharp abdominal pain and
vomiting, and didn't want to have to go to the ER. It was so reassuring
to know I wouldn't be groaning in the waiting room- I could groan at
home and show up at the appointed time. I was seen in minutes, the MD
was attentive and thorough and ultimately sent me on to the ER, but I
felt better about having to go! This week a bad cold spread into
sinusitis and bronchitis. I normally would wait -weeks- to see my PCP
(or current resident), hoping it goes away, not wanting to take a 1/2
day off of work to get the only time slot available. Instead, I got
online, made an appointment 30 minutes after I was leaving work, could
see which location could accommodate me at a convenient time, showed
up, saw my MD within minutes, he listened as well as investigated my
complaints, and I left with everything I need to get better- and this
time -before- I hit desperate, miserable and exhausted. ZoomCare will
be my clinic of choice for the inconvenient illnesses and injuries of
life from now on. I just have to pay my office visit copay- no
complaints there! And they're opening a location at 33rd/ Hawthorne in
Jan '09- woo hoo, even closer!"

"Unlike any doctor's office I've been to! I've been to ZoomCare twice
this week and have been very happy both times. The first time, I made a
same day appointment and had no problem. The second time, I checked
their website, saw that there was no wait, and walked in. Both times,
there was no paper work, my doctor greeted me immediately, and answered
all my questions. I was in and out with a filled prescription in hand
in less than 30 minutes. I could not be happier with the service."

"I escorted my girlfriend to ZoomCare for her urgent care needs. We
were treated with friendly, professional, conscientious service by
people who thoroughly performed their responsibilities with authentic
enthusiasm and care. My girlfriend was seen and treated in only a
handful of minutes - otherwise, I would have had a cup of the Stash tea
they keep available in the waiting area. I am seriously impressed."

I've been there or accompanied friends/family there for: ear
infections, digestive troubles, sinus infections, severe depression,
flu shots, lab tests and a broken arm. every time, they've been able to
see me or whomever within a few hours. there has never been any
waiting. they are all m.d.'s and treat you with so much dignity. they
are very upfront about their fees (on their website!), you can make an
appointment online, and they really take time. i've waited 5 hours at
providence urgent care. i've never waited 5 minutes at zoomcare. they
have a location in the pearl and in bridgeport village in tigard/lake
oswego. i've been to both. they're clean, uncrowded facilities with
top-notch staff. one great thing about them is that they buy frequently
prescribed medications in bulk: my recent prednisone prescription was
cheaper to buy from them than to pay my copay from the pharmacy. i
still have a pcp, but there's less and less reason to use her, when
zoomcare is around and available 7 days a week with no wait. they're
flawless about my insurance; it's the same co-pay as a doctor's visit.
i don't know how they do it-- or why the rest of primary medicine sucks
so much, but they're a great resource. i had my test results the same
day and the doctor called to check up on me. great people. affordable
(enough) for those without insurance and surely cheaper than an er
visit. they will do follow-up care with you, too, if they need to order
more testing. YEAH ZOOMCARE.

"I've only been at your clinic two times, the second time being today
(with a bladder infection), and I wanted to write and let you know how
positively impressed I have been both times. Thankfully, I've never
been in the ER except when I was with someone else who needed urgent
care (all three times being there for hours, waiting and waiting), and
these are the only two times I've sought treatment at an immediate care
clinic, because I couldn't get in to see a primary care physician the
same day. The ZoomCare facility is attractive, and I appreciate that
you have a small pharmacy right there, which saves me time. I like the
fact I can schedule on-line and get an almost immediate e-mail
confirmation. The process is very stream-lined. I'm sorry I did not
catch the name of the young woman at the front desk; I found you to be
courteous, professional, helpful, kind and friendly. Thank you. Dr.
Norcom, you're one of the best doctors I've seen. After my last full
exam with a pap smear, blood work and everything, I received the lab
results in the mail from the clinic with my
former PCP's (who kept me waiting for three hours at my first
visit) handwritten notes saying something like, nothing to be alarmed
about, could be this, could be that, "could be leukemia - call if get
sick." You can imagine how reassuring that was! The fact someone from
ZoomCare is calling with the results of the urine culture either way is
very good to hear after an experience like that. You answered my
questions in a way that made sense to me, and provided what I felt was
superior medical care, without keeping me in the clinic for any longer
than necessary. Thank you for the great service and medical care. Best
Wishes,"

I really can't imagine anything you could improve. You have Sunday
hours, online scheduling, a clean and modern waiting room, a pleasant
receptionist, insurance billing and even stickers for my sick daughter!
Our appointment with Dr. Norcom was on time, thorough and helpful. This
was by far the best urgent care experience we've ever had. When we need
evening or weekend care, we won't hesitate to visit ZoomCare. Keep up
the good work!

"I happened to remember a place called ZoomCare that my friend Alisha
had told me to check out on the interweb. After strapping my bike onto
the front of the #15 bus and riding the bus home instead of my poor,
lonely bicycle, I set out for their Bridgeport Village office. They
specialize in not being corrupt goons when it comes to practicing
medicine and obtaining compensation for their services. Their practice
is extremely transparent, with a veritable "menu" of services offered
complete with prices for each service. They will see anyone who comes
in, with or without an appointment, and I even witnessed my doctor
running, yes running to get to his next patient as soon as possible. I
don't know about the rest of you, but the general vibe I sense from
physicians is that "I went to school forever to learn how to take care
of you and you will wait however long I want to make you wait". The
attitude at ZoomCare was completely opposite to the patronizing
environment I am accustomed to at the doctor's office. ZoomCare is the
best alternative to the regular, outrageous and overcomplicated
healthcare that I am currently aware of. They charge a fair price for
their services, which enabled me to feel comfortable going in there
this afternoon to have my oozing gashed knee stitched up. Even though
my visit was not a cheap ordeal, I know that it would have been
exponentially less comfortable and more expensive had I been lazy and
moseyed across the street from my school into the Emergency Room. At
any rate, I only had to wait for ten minutes or so before the doctor
devoted his full attention to me and had me out the door with four
stitches and an updated tetanus shot"

We were on vacation in Portland and had a sick child and grandma during
our trip.
We have used Urgent or walk in care centers for over 20 years to
supplement our main physicians who disappear on weekends and after 4.
Your office and procedures were very modern and efficient. We got great
care and would come more regularly if you were closer.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the excellent care and service we received. We feel blessed to have a place like ZoomCare to go to. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
- Jeffrey A.
I was extremely pleased with my entire experience at ZoomCare! The moment I walked in I was immediatley greeted with a warm genuine smile. I only had to wait five minutes and I was well informed by the doctor in a polite, professional manner regarding my diagnosis. I am visiting friends in Tualatin, I am from Seattle. It was so nice to have such a great experience when away from home! Thank you again for your commitment to excellence!

Not only am I pleased with the high-quality clinical care that I received, but I am astounded with the personal, caring way Dr. Katz delivered it. The follow-up calls and genuine concern about how I was feeling left my wife and I shaking our heads in amazement. Amid all the sleek coolness that is ZoomCare (online appointment scheduling, prescriptions filled and ready for me at check-out), it's the delivery of personal, compassionate care that has made me a ZoomCare patient for life. ZoomCare rules!
- Mitch Y.
ZoomCare worked for me and cannot improve on its formula as far as I'm concerned. The Dr. was knowledgeable and took the time to explain results. The staff was professional and service was given quickly!
- Kathryn S.
Hi Dr. Katz,
I just wanted to say again how much I appreciate the service that you
are offering at ZoomCare. I will be sending an email to the president
and the CEO of New Seasons Market (my employer) to let them know about
you guys. I think that ZoomCare is exactly the thing the majority of
our employees need in terms of health care. I hope that I can help you
with some referrals. Oh... by the way, my wife is flattered that you
remember her and she will be using your office also in the future. Good
Luck!
Sincerely,
Robert C.
Hello Dr. Sanders,
I wanted to write a brief note to say two things.
1) Urgent... Care... Those two words are truly applicable to ZoomCare.
Your staff is expedient in caring for someone who is feeling horrible.
And they really do care about the sick who come through the door. Even
when I call the voice answering the phone is very attentive to my
needs.
2) I hope you realize what an amazing doctor you have in Dr. Katz.
Recently I came down with a serious illness that mystified us. I was
running documented fevers of 100.5 to 102 at night like clockwork.
Night sweats, exhaustion and muscle aches along with headaches and some
neck pain were constant. I came in after almost 2 weeks of symptoms.
Dr. Katz was diligent in investigating every possibility. I ended up in
ER for 3 days and they drew lots of blood. Dr. Katz called me more than
once to check on me. Finally he received the last blood test and found
I had CMV. I'm better now and while there was no magic pill to fix me,
knowing Dr. Katz was working hard to find a diagnosis calmed my
fears... which are many when you worry about meningitis and many other
possible scenarios.
Thanks for bringing him on staff!
- Satisfied patient
I don't have a suggestion for improvement as I am VERY pleased with the
care and attention I received from your staff yesterday...and I'm a bit
persnickety about it as I am a RN. Anyway, I came in with a nasty
sinus infection which had me feeling horrible. Although I have a PCP, I
like ZoomCare for acute, minor illnesses because I can get in and out
quickly which is not something my regular doctor's office is able to
do.
Anyway, twentyfour hours later, I am 1000% better.
Thank you!

"There is nothing to improve! Your office is great. I came in today for
a sinus infection. Everyone that works there is friendly and
professional. It was a great experience and I called 2 friends on my
way home to tell them how great you guys are!"
"Thank you."
