Innovative Oregon Company Increases Access to High Quality Affordable Healthcare
(Portland, OR) - ZoomCare plans to open five new neighborhood clinics over the next several months in Multnomah Village, downtown Portland, East Burnside, Salem and Vancouver. The six year-old company plans to open the Multnomah Village clinic on May 10, beginning a steady expansion that will bring ZoomCare to a total of 15 clinics, an increase over today's 10 clinics (nine in Portland and one in Seattle). The clinics will open in established neighborhoods that are easily accessible by walking, biking or public transportation.
Fueling expansion is the demand for same-day appointments at a fair, flat price and a patient's ability to choose the time and place for his/her appointment. According to Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Dave Sanders, MD, "Patients are fed up with excessive billing and poor service. They want no-wait, affordable care in their neighborhoods. We've structured our entire business around the patientnot the insurance companies."

(* Note: "Sarah" is the shorthand way we refer to the patient to whom ZoomCare caters)
Before 2006, when "Sarah" had a need for urgent medical attention the choices were not great:
ZoomCare changed all that.
Starting in 2006 "Sarah" could ask for a same day appointment and be seen by a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant at ZoomCare's first neighborhood clinic. ZoomCare pioneered "healthcare on demand" and patients liked this new idea. Two clinics grew to nine neighborhood clinics in Oregon and one in Seattle.
Today ZoomCare is pleased to announce a plan to open five more modern clinics so that "Sarah" has her choice of 15 clinics, where she and her family can get complete primary care blood tests, x-rays, medical exams and the medicine she needs for a broad range of illnesses, injuries and preventive care.
And patients at ZoomCare get the advantage of advanced technology in setting their appointments and reading lab results on a handheld device:
ZoomCare is bringing innovation to the delivery of high quality, affordable healthcare in convenient neighborhood clinics. Since 2006 ZoomCare has grown to 15 clinics serving a growing number of people in Oregon and Washington states. But this story isn't just about Oregon business growth, it's about revolutionizing the way healthcare is delivered by highly qualified practitioners who are dedicated to giving patients the best care and the best medical experience in the world.
