ZoomCare, a medical clinic with a convenience-based care and business model, is opening its second Treasure Valley office at The Village at Meridian.
The new clinic will be open in mid-January, spokesman Len Bergstein said Nov. 18. It will have the same look and feel as ZoomCare's other clinics.
The Portland, Ore.-based company chose the location at 2126 North Eagle Road because it's in a high-traffic area convenient to patients in Meridian, Bergstein said.
"The care model is built upon the customer's convenience," he said.
A two- or three-person team comprising a supervising physician, a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, and a front-desk associate will run the clinic for the time being, Bergstein said, though the number of employees may change based on customer demand. ZoomCare's existing clinic, in downtown Boise, is similarly staffed, and clinicians will be able to travel between clinics if the need arises. The company prefers to keep each team in a single location, he said.
ZoomCare has a companywide electronic medical records system, so the same patient records will be available in Boise, Meridian, and ZoomCare's Portland and Seattle clinics.
