Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will my insurance cover ZoomCare?

A: Almost always. Nearly all Oregon insurers cover your ZoomCare visit. ZoomCare is in-network with most insurers. See our full list of insurers...

Q: How much will my visit cost me if I have insurance?

A: If you plan to pay for your visit with insurance you will pay your usual office co-pay. If you would like to receive an estimate of the total cost including your insurer's payment, please email bridgeport@zoomcare.com with your request. Please include your phone number, email address, the name of your insurance company, and your plan name such as “PPO” or “Open Option" if possible. As you probably know, most medical offices will not estimate your costs because it requires both a supercomputer and ESP to figure out the insurance pricing system. This being said, we will try our best to use both to give you the best estimate that we can. It's your health, you deserve to know how much it's going to cost you.

Q: How much will my visit cost if I don’t have insurance or prefer to pay with cash?

A: ZoomCare provides simplified, discounted pricing for customers who pay with cash, credit card, debit card or check. View our prices.

Q: Do I need an appointment?

A: No, but our customers increasingly schedule online at ZoomCare.com. Guarantee your ZoomCare Physician (ZCP) is waiting for you!

Q: Can you fill my prescriptions?

A: One of our most popular features is our onsite pharmacy which we call ZipScriptz. Most of our customer walk out with their medicines in hand and many tell us that they are amazed that it costs them less than the pharmacy chain. It always saves lots of time.

Q: Can I be seen by a particular doctor? Can I be seen by a female doctor? A male doctor?

A: Yes, to all! Just go to Doctors at ZoomCare.Com and click on View Schedule and then schedule online.

Q: Can you be my PCP?

A: No, but we'd be honored to be your ZCP - ZoomCare Physician. Your ZCP will handle all your health care with two exceptions - true emergencies and managing chronic conditions. If you have a chronic condition such as diabetes or hypertension we can still care for you but we will help you find a chronic care doctor, too. PCP stands for primary care provider. At ZoomCare you will be cared for by a physician not a provider. Further, the PCP was designed by insurance companies to handle paperwork and bureaucracy. To streamline your care and to keep your costs down, we are passionate about eliminating paperwork and bureaucracy and that's why we decided to become ZCPs not PCPs and to create ZoomCare. Try it out. You'll see what we're talking about.

Q: What do you mean by Health Care on Demand?

A: 1. Go to zoomcare.com. Schedule same-day visit. 2. Arrive at ZoomCare at Bridgeport Village. You're not feeling your best so use our free Valet Parking. 3. Don't check in, when you can Zoom In! You don't like paperwork. Nor do we. So we keep it simple. 4. Be cared for by your awaiting ZoomCare Doctor. 5. Fill your prescriptions at ZoomCare or at the pharmacy of your choice. 6. Zip Out! Pay your usual office visit co-pay or just $79 for most visits.

Q: What is the best way to reach ZoomCare?

A: Email is the best. Phone is fine, but email allows us to provide a more thorough answer without ever asking you to wait a moment.

Q: Where are you located?

A: ZoomCare is located in the Bridgeport Village above The Container Store and across the parking lot from the Wild Oats Market. Take I-5 to the Lower Boones Ferry Road Exit (Exit 290) and turn west. You’ll pass stores like Crate & Barrel and Borders. Turn right into the Bridgeport Village Mall on SW Hazelfern Road.

Q: Where do I park when I go to ZoomCare at Bridgeport Village?

A: Valet Parking. Yes, it's true. Go ahead and use Valet Parking and ask your ZoomCare Associate to validate. The Valet Parking Station is in front of Oregon Scientific across from the parking garage. Of course, you can also park on the surface parking lot between Wild Oats Market and The Container Store or in the covered parking garage behind the Container Store and across from Carl Greve Jewelers.

Q: Will I see a physician's assistant or a nurse practitioner?

A: No, ZoomCare doctors are board certified family physicians with experience taking care of people of all ages. Unlike urgent care centers or emergency rooms where doctors come and go doing a shift here or there, each ZoomCare has a core team of devoted doctors who you'll get to know over time. To further strengthen those bonds, our doctor schedule is posted on our web-site so you'll know who you'll see when making a reservation.

Q: How are able to stay on time?

A: ZoomCare is designed to place the highest value on your time—from our extended hours to our convenient check-in kiosks. Not only has every step of a medical visit been re-invented to reduce your wait, we also will walk out to greet you and welcome you in. That's the difference from being on-time (most doctors are never on-time), and our "ZoomTime". It's one of the many small touches at ZoomCare you'll want to tell your friends about.

Q: What is a ZoomReceipt?

A: You will receive a complete record of your diagnosis, treatment and costs before your leave our office.

Q: What is ZoomWare?

A: ZoomWare is ZoomCare's specially designed state-of-the-art software, which gives our doctors access to the most current care information.

Q: Do you treat pain at ZoomCare?

A: ZoomCare's approach to pain management is to use alternatives to narcotics — we therefore neither prescribe nor dispense controlled substances. Your ZoomCare doctor will strive to ease painful symptoms in the BEST way possible — that is, utilizing methods that work, and that enhance the integrity of our doctor-patient relationships.

Q: Is ZoomCare a chain or franchise?

A: ZoomCare is locally owned and operated. We were founded by Portland area physicians with a long commitment to the area. However, we are planning to expand and if you'd like to see a ZoomCare in your neighborhood give us feedback and suggest a future location.

Q: Does ZoomCare provide teeth whitening?

A: No. Yes, this was a frequent question when we first started ZoomCare, but it's not very frequent anymore.
