Have a make-up free face if your screening includes the face

Remove all jewelry

Undress to underwear and/or a bra

The images are securely processed and analyzed by SkinIO algorithms, then sent to a board-certified dermatologist for screening review.

FAQs

Q: Can I use my HSA or FSA for this service?
Yes!

Q: Why does this service include a photo review by an AI and dermatologist?
Automated, AI-enabled mole-mapping and outlier detection helps dermatologists to see more of what actually matters on your skin, in detail and in context. A dermatologist uses this tool and their clinical expertise to more efficiently determine if there are any spots to be concerned about and recommend an appropriate care plan if needed. Plus, this combo allows for patients and their dermatologist and/or care team track changes over time.

Q: Can I get a biopsy during my Skin Cancer Screening?
Not in our Skin Cancer Screening service line. If your screening results or a prior medical assessment indicate a biopsy is recommended, our providers will refer you to a dermatology specialist for that procedure.

Q: I don't want my photos taken. Can I still schedule a Skin Cancer Screening?
Yes, but you will need to schedule a screening through our Dermatology service line.

Q: How are my photos and privacy protected?
We don’t store any photos on our devices. All photos are taken in a HIPAA compliant platform using encryption.
